105 Years is a Good Run


Raffetto Shoes… we are sad to see you go! Opened in 1909 by Charles and Elvira Raffetto, the shoe store has been a landmark on Main Street Manasquan for 105 years. Big box retailers had nothing on this kids’ shoe shop. Proprietors Carol (granddaughter of Charles and Elvira) and Joe Hill were the friendly faces, getting kids’ in the best shoes with just the right fit.

In their retirement announcement, the Hills state, “We have so many terrific memories created by our customers and working together in our store. It has been both enjoyable and interesting! We met each of you and your families and we were able to watch many of the children grow up to adulthood.”

Raffetto Shoes will be closing March 29th, 2014. Make time and stop in for a pair of shoes for your kids, nieces, nephews, grandkids, or maybe even to donate to a kid in a nearby town that could use a new pair.
