It’s official: this year’s color of the year is Tangerine Tango, a bright reddish orange, as selected by the Pantone Color Institute, a NJ-based organization that’s been the global authority on color for more than 45 years. We’re digging the color, especially with spring just around the corner. It’s that great pop of color for your wardrobe or home decor.
Executive Director of the Pantone Institute Leatrice Eiseman says that Tangerine Tango goes well with unexpected colors — slightly greenish blue, hot pink, warm tan, or a deep yellow-green. Tangerine Tango symbolizes the energy boost the world needs to recharge, recover and move forward from the trials of the past. For home decor, Eiseman recommends incorporating it into the home using items like pillows, bedspreads, and tabletop accessories for a high-impact statement.
