The 2022 movie Elvis may have sparked a renewed interest in one of history's most iconic artists, but the love for The King has always run deep — especially in NJ. For years, local fans would flock to see Elvis Presley any way they could, and at the recent The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Experience at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Atlantic City, they got double the exposure.

New and long-time fans got up close and personal with The King through the impressive work of world renowned Elvis tribute artists Shawn Klush and Cody Ray Slaughter, along with their tight seven-piece band and two delightful back up singers. Anyone that can croon like the King gets our vote! They also got the vote from Memphis’ own Elvis Presley Enterprises. Klush and Slaughter won the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in 2007 and 2011, respectively.
Enjoying the resurgence of interest in all things Elvis, concert organizers added a second show to the The Atlantic City schedule, which was quick to sell out. Tribute artists Klush and Slaughter delighted the audience with Elvis greatest hits and other covers including Bridge Over Troubled Waters, sung by Klush, in honor of the sudden and tragic passing of Elvis’ daughter, Lisa Marie.
By the end of the show, a handful of fans raced up to the stage for their chance to take home a silk scarf, just as Elvis did at his shows.
For those that want to relive the era of the king crooner, The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Experience is the way to go. The tribute artists have dedicated their lives to capturing the sound, look, and feel of the King — and it’s worth watching live when they are in town.
The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Experience with Klush and Slaughter will come back to Atlantic City on July 28, 2023. The event is held at the Sound Waves venue and is family friendly.
Give yourself an extra 15 minutes to walk from the hotel parking garage to the venue, located next to the Sugar Factory, just off the Atlantic City boardwalk.

While at the Hard Rock, take a few minutes to check out the memorabilia located throughout the facility. Under the illuminated, glass stairs, you'll find Elvis' Rolls-Royce. Most car aficionados like our crew at Jersey Shore Style would rather see this car on the open road than on display as it is... maybe one day!
Until next time, peace.
